I rant about this to balance all of the SS2 love, and SS1-what-the-heck-is-that-old-graphics-strange-mouse-that's -too-much-of-a-bother-to-play sentiment that seems to reign here. It's definately not the blindingly amazing innovative classic that SS1 was. It is an improved (and slightly disimproved in ways) rehash of SS1. I love SS2, but it's really not comparable. I've played games from way back in the day, and I can say technology aside, that SS1 is hands down one of the best games ever. It seems that so many people here think SS2 is the only game that's worth playing and especially talking about. ![]() It's been a bit since I've played through SS1, but that's as best as my memory serves me. But you can look on your map and see if you're getting close.Ĭould be wrong with all of that. ![]() It never seems like you're close to the Chamber until you see a little monitor next to the switch. Then you have to go through some maintinance tunnels (infested with hoppers) and then fall down a little shaft I believe. You have to go through another quadrant (beta?), it's the one with the Secbot standing at the entrance. Now you can't open it up the switch to do that is on the other side. ![]() If you extend the force bridge across the hallway, and then stand under it with your back to the Conversion Chamber, step forward about one or two blocks and turn left, you are facing the secret switch/wall. It's behind a secret lift that also doubles as a wall.
